David Matherly is a Principal with Whitehorse Capital, based in Denver, Colorado. David is involved in all aspects of the investment process, including sourcing, transaction structuring, and execution.

David has over 28 years of finance experience, including approximately 20 years investing in all types of leveraged finance situations as a portfolio manager, research analyst and workout specialist.

Prior to joining Whitehorse, David was a Managing Director at Oaktree Capital Management. David’s prior experience includes roles with Nationwide Insurance, J.P. Morgan, Morgan Stanley, and Bear Stearns.

David received a B.S. in Business Administration from The Citadel and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
