David Wang Principal

David Wang is a Principal in H.I.G.’s Advantage Fund based in the San Francisco office. David is responsible for all aspects of the investment process, including origination, transaction structuring, financing, and execution of post-closing growth and operational initiatives.

David has over a decade of experience in private equity and M&A. He has invested in companies across a broad range of industries, including consumer services, technology services, and industrials. Prior to joining H.I.G., David worked at Golden Gate Capital and MSD Partners. David began his career in investment banking at Jefferies and Morgan Stanley.

David earned his undergraduate degree, summa cum laude, from Duke University and his M.B.A. from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, where he was a Palmer Scholar.
