Linda Hui Global Head of Tax

Linda Hui is the Global Head of Tax at H.I.G., based in the firm’s Miami office. She leads global tax strategy and operations for the firm and its funds, with responsibility for tax planning and compliance.

Prior to joining H.I.G., Linda was a Managing Director and Tax Counsel at Ares Management, where she led the private equity tax group and served as tax counsel for strategic transactions. In that role, she advised the public company and its private equity and special opportunities funds on structuring, transactions, and the implementation and ongoing operation of structures. She began her career advising clients on mergers, acquisitions, and restructurings, as well as private fund structures, at Deloitte Tax and Ernst & Young’s specialized groups and national offices.

Linda holds a J.D. from Northwestern University, a Tax LL.M. from New York University, and an undergraduate degree from the University of British Columbia.
