WhiteHorse Capital Continues Expanding Direct Lending Team with the Addition of Principals Mario Shaffer and Eric Von Stafford
STAMFORD – October 19, 2017 – WhiteHorse Capital (“WhiteHorse”) hired two principals, Mario Shaffer and Eric Von Stafford. WhiteHorse is the direct lending affiliate of H.I.G. Capital, a leading global private equity and alternative assets investment firm with $24 billion of equity capital under management.
Mario Shaffer, based in Washington, DC, will be responsible for sourcing and executing middle market debt financings for both non-sponsored and private equity sponsored transactions. Mario was previously with Capitala Group, where he made debt and equity investments in middle market companies.
Eric Von Stafford, based in San Francisco, will be responsible for all aspects of the investment process, including sourcing, transaction structuring and execution. Prior to joining WhiteHorse, Eric held senior positions at White Oak Global Advisors and Medley Capital, where he sourced, executed and managed debt investments.
