Apollo Endosurgery Introduces New “Flexible Surgery” Products at SAGES 2010

AUSTIN, TX – May, 2010 – Apollo Endosurgery, Inc. has just concluded a successful participation at the 12th World Congress of Endoscopic Surgery (hosted by SAGES and CAGS). This was the company’s first booth exhibit and they previewed two new products: The OverStitch™ Endoscopic Suturing System and the FlexShears™ Endoscopic Scissors.

“We were extremely pleased with the outstanding reception that our products received, as well as the positive feedback and interest that was generated by the industry. We are looking forward to our early June, 2010 launch “ said Lee Putman, Vice President of Sales & Marketing. “We are also exhibiting at DDW (Digestive Disease Week) in New Orleans.”

The OverStitch™ Endoscopic Suturing System is a unique device that mimics the way physicians deploy sutures by hand. It provides full-thickness endoscopic suturing on a flexible platform, delivering surgical standard of care through the flexible endoscope. The FlexShears™ Endoscopic Scissors is a breakthrough in endoscopic cutting; single-patient use design delivers optimal performance and reliability. 360-degree, continuous rotation allows for precise orientation of blades to targeted tissue.
