H.I.G. Capital Announces Investment in Gould & Lamb
MIAMI – August 14, 2006 – H.I.G. Capital, a leading private equity firm based in Miami, Florida, announced today that it has completed an investment in Gould & Lamb, LLC (“G&L”). Headquartered in Bradenton, Florida. Gould & Lamb is a leading insurance services firm that helps its clients, predominately large insurance organizations, evaluate the long term medical costs of injured claimants and ensure proper regulatory compliance. The Company’s products and services, used to establish Medicare set-aside arrangements, life-care plans and medical/legal expert opinions, are used by 18 of the largest 25 Workers’ Compensation insurance carriers, as well as self-insured employers, third-party administrators, defense and plaintiff attorneys, and structured settlement brokers. Gould and Lamb is the largest provider in the U.S. of these services.
