Lancope Appoints Rob Potter as Vice President of Federal Sales22-year technology industry veteran promoted from director of federal sales
ATLANTA – December 2, 2013 – Lancope, Inc., a leader in network visibility and security intelligence, announces the appointment of Rob Potter as vice president of federal sales. Potter brings 22 years of information technology and security experience to the role, including a year as Lancope’s federal sales director, as well as positions with IBM and RSA, The Security Division of EMC. He is an established leader in the federal market with a solid track record of partnering with government agencies to improve the security and overall success of their mission.
Throughout his career, Potter has developed a multitude of successful federal sales strategies, built high-performing sales organizations and expanded brand awareness for many leading technology companies while consistently growing revenues. To date, his leadership, experience and reputation in the federal market have led Lancope’s federal business to over 170 percent growth.

Prior to joining Lancope, Potter held the role of vice president of federal sales at RSA for seven years, as well as sales roles at software companies Jacada and Attachmate (formerly WRQ). He also spent seven years at IBM as a developer, and proudly serves as a board member of Operation Renewed Hope Foundation, a non-profit organization focused on helping homeless veterans.
