Nexidia Invited to Present New Technologies for Asset Monetization at National Association of Broadcasters’ EventHollywood Post Alliance's 'Best Demos' Winner Earns NAB Showcase Opportunity
ATLANTA, GA – April 4, 2011 – Nexidia, a leading provider of audio analysis and dialogue search products for the media and entertainment industries, today announced it will present several new technologies at the National Association of Broadcasters’ (NAB) Conference Post Pit event April 13th in Las Vegas, including the ability to find any spoken phrase in massive video asset libraries, automated caption timing, language verification and faster than real-time audio QC for program versioning. The Hollywood Post Alliance (HPA) asked Nexidia to participate in the invitation-only event after its innovations earned one of four “best technology demonstration” accolades from entertainment industry visionaries who attended the HPA Tech Retreat in February.
Nexidia will show how these technologies can help content creators and distributors cut production costs, meet accessibility requirements and find hidden value in their assets at 2:30 p.m. at the NAB Post Pit in South Hall’s lower level at Booth #SL12205.
Presentations will include large-scale dialogue search capabilities that can find and play any spoken word or phrase within 100,000 hours of video in only seconds – without requiring transcripts or caption files. Nexidia’s rapid search of massive media archives enables content owners to unearth value that could not be found in any other way.
In addition, the company will also show how, at hundreds of times faster than real-time, its dialogue analysis tools can compare the final audio files of any program to a script, transcript or caption file to generate master timing lists, insert or correct caption timings, identify errors and omissions, and even verify that the audio and text are in the correct language. International broadcasters will be especially interested in Nexidia’s real-time Language Verification abilities, which can identify when the correct language is – or is not – being broadcast, independent of metadata.
For content owners who create alternate versions of their media for international markets, mobile devices and the web, Nexidia will also show how its unique audio comparison technology brings dramatically greater speed and accuracy to finding audio errors such as drift, sync loss, substitutions, distortion and dropouts.
“HPA’s recognition demonstrates that our innovations offer the media industry valuable ways to both save on costs and find new sources of revenue,” said Drew Lanham, Nexidia’s senior vice president of media and entertainment. “We look forward to discussing with the media and entertainment industry leaders at NAB how our solutions can improve both their production and distribution workflows.”
