Carlos Couret Managing Director & Head of the Spanish Lower Middle Market

Carlos is a Managing Director and Head of the Spanish Lower Middle Market private equity team based in the Madrid office. He is responsible for leading investments in Spain and Portugal.

Carlos has over 17 years of private equity experience, with a track record spanning origination, execution, and exits across multiple industries including healthcare, aerospace, manufacturing and consumer. Prior to joining H.I.G., he was a senior investment professional at ProA Capital, a Spanish middle-market private equity firm. Before that, held positions at BNP Paribas in its New York and Madrid offices.

Carlos holds a dual Bachelor’s Degree from ICADE in Madrid and NEOMA Business School in Reims.
