Ilya Lipsman Principal & Head of Portfolio Optimization

Ilya is a Principal in WhiteHorse Capital's Stamford office and leads Portfolio Optimization, with a focus on maximizing risk-adjusted returns through active position and fund management, liquidity and financing optimization, and value-recovery initiatives.

Ilya has over 10 years of experience across credit and structured finance, with a primary focus on private credit and portfolio finance. Prior to joining WhiteHorse, Ilya was Head of Alternative Funds Lending at BNY, where he led the lender/sponsor finance business, serving both GPs and LPs. Prior to BNY, he spent eight years at The Carlyle Group across private credit fund and portfolio management roles.

Ilya holds a B.A. from Baruch College.
