John Baclawski Managing Director

John Baclawski is a Managing Director in H.I.G.’s Capital Formation Group. He is based in the Stamford and New York offices and responsible for capital raising activities in North America across the firm’s global real asset (infrastructure and real estate) strategies.

Prior to joining H.I.G., John was a Partner and Head of Capital Formation at MPM BioImpact, a biotechnology investment firm. He spent nearly nine years at Eaton Partners, a global fund placement agent, where he raised capital for private equity firms, real asset funds, and credit funds. John began his career at Bear Stearns before continuing in investment banking in New York at firms including Cantor Fitzgerald and Wells Fargo Securities.

John earned his B.A. degree from Colgate University and was a member of the National History Honors Society (Phi Alpha Theta).
