Mario Shaffer Managing Director

Mario is a Managing Director of WhiteHorse Capital and is based in Washington, D.C.

Mario has over 20 years of experience in leveraged finance, mergers and acquisitions, and private equity across a broad range of sectors, including aerospace and defense, business services, consumer, energy, healthcare, and technology.

Prior to joining WhiteHorse Capital, Mario a senior professional with Capitala Group, where he made debt and equity investments in middle market companies. Before that, he was a Managing Director at Alliance Partners, an asset manager which made private debt investments in private equity sponsored buyouts. Prior to Alliance Partners, he was with Barclays, FBR & Co., and New Enterprise Associates.

Mario has a B.A. degree from The College of William & Mary.
