Michael Clancy Principal

Michael is a Principal based in H.I.G.’s Boston office. He is responsible for all aspects of the investment process, including origination, transaction structuring, and post-closing value creation initiatives.

Michael has more than a decade of private equity experience across a variety of industries, including business services, industrials, consumer, and technology. Prior to joining H.I.G., Michael was a Principal in the Private Equity Group at Ares Management. Earlier in his career, Michael was a private equity investor at Warburg Pincus, and he began his career in investment banking at Barclays.

Michael holds a B.A. in economics and mathematics, summa cum laude, from Boston University, an M.A. in economics from Boston University, and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
