Russ is a Senior Executive Director and Operating Partner in H.I.G.’s private equity practice.

Russ is based in H.I.G.’s Stamford office, where he focuses on marketing due diligence and portfolio company operations. Russ is responsible for helping portfolio companies develop and implement comprehensive digital and marketing strategies.

Russ has over 30 years of experience in a broad range of industries including CPG, Food & Beverage, Sports & Entertainment and Financial Services. Prior to joining H.I.G., Russ was the Global Chief Marketing Officer of international specialist insurer Hiscox. Before Hiscox, he was the Head of Marketing for IHOP, the CMO of Major League Soccer, and a marketing executive for PepsiCo, where he launched the Sierra Mist and PepsiMax brands. Russ started his career at Unilever where he was the global expert in e-commerce prior to roles in brand management.

Russ earned his M.B.A. from Xavier University and his B.S. in Marketing from State University of New York, Oswego.
