Sean Nelson Managing Director

Sean Nelson is a Managing Director in H.I.G.’s Capital Formation Group. Based in Atlanta, Sean is responsible for capital raising and investor relations activities within the U.S. intermediary and private wealth channels, across all of the firm’s strategies.

Prior to joining H.I.G., Sean spent nearly 14 years at KKR where he was most recently a Managing Director and Eastern Divisional Head of Private Wealth Americas. In this role, Sean was responsible for driving new business relationships and delivering the firm’s full platform to leading wealth platforms, RIAs, and high net worth individuals throughout the U.S. Prior to that, he held various product management roles at KKR and began his career in Media investment banking at UBS.

Sean earned an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School and an A.B. from Dartmouth College.
